Quick update: representatives from Senator McCormick's team contacted me this afternoon and provided me with connections to members of President Trump's incoming team at the Department of Education. I'll update again once we speak with them.

I would like to thank Senator McCormick for being a man of his word, and for his team for following through. Now, on to the new US Department of Education.

Still waiting to hear from the PA Attorney General.....

I ♥️♥️♥️everything you wrote about your family, community, job, wife, service and faith. these were the values we all agreed upon not so long ago. not shot through and scattered it seems like people are trying to reconnect to a way of life that is meaningful but the way you describe your own wife and the bounty of actually spending time in the bosom of your extended family feels very much like an investment made through the foundation of a christian centered life. may the most high continue to bless and keep you. and thank you for reminding me of what is real and true: human family relationship.

Amen, brother. This IS the way.

CTW, you sound like you have a most wonderful life and you certainly didn’t “need” this battle with the school officials. But you joined the battle anyway. Bravo, sir. You have illustrated for all of us that for evil to flourish, good men need only to do… nothing. Thank you for not taking that path. And, if God be for you, who can be against you?

Chris, thank you for bringing this to the surface, and thank you for your great work.

Completely agree. Local newspapers, which used to cover stories like this, are nowhere to be found. The papers in my area are owned by large private equity companies that either exert top-down control of the "news" they cover, or they don't have any idea what their local reporters are covering (and not covering). If it weren't for people like Chris Bray, and platforms like Substack, small stories like this would go completely unreported. I think a lot about stories like this that are going untold around the country. I'm incredibly grateful for Chris and all of the other journalists who have covered aspects of this story.

We truly are in a spiritual battle, in the intimate details of our lives, in our communities and as a whole in our collective humanity. The forces of evil are trying at every moment in every corner to deceive and cajole and persuade in every imaginable horror. Our faith cannot be shaken. Our light will never be extinguished. The fools who collude with evil will be served their just rewards. May God's love be with you always.

Although a Heathen myself, I greatly appreciated this piece and your fight for accountability from the Mandarins who seem to believe themselves the public's masters rather than servants.

As for the wheels of justice moving slowly, I hope that this will be an example of the ancient Greek proverb that has found its best expression in English as, "The mill of justice moves slowly, but it grinds exceedingly fine."

This problem of government being essentially detached from the people it allegedly represents has gotten much worse this decade.

Great post! Thanks, Chris, for posting it, and most of all, many thanks to CTW for sharing an inspiring story of faith lifting you when you needed the boost. Your sense of gratitude shines through in this account; even when it seems like you’ve hit nothing but roadblocks, somehow, your belief and your faith carves a path forward. Godspeed!

Thanks for this post Chris. Very enlightening on local politics. All politics start on a local level and it is difficult to get around the bureaucracy. The locals have learned well from the big boys in Washington.

Thank you CTW, for your eloquently written description of the current state of your struggles. I remember you from last year's essay from Chris. At the time, I wondered if you had contacted the Independence Law Center. Randall Wenger is an exceptional attorney and is doing a yeoman's work with the Pennsylvania Family Institute. He now has two winning Supreme Court decisions under his belt. We will believe the Pacific Justice Institute will successfully resolve your complaint. I share your Christian faith and the thankfulness that results from being part of a faith community (Lancaster County). And I can concur, due to very difficult personal struggles this past year, that God does indeed show up in times of trouble. Lamentations 3:55-57 has become very precious. When we are down in the dark pit, He comes down to sit with us. While traveling this life's journey, we take comfort in that experiential truth.

Thank you. Unfortunately, I was never able to connect with Mr. Wenger. I know he is doing great work and would welcome his assistance if he learns of this.

CTW stay the course, He clearly has your back. If the dark creeps in again, in these words: Expectant faith, constant hope, fullness of love.

The only thing that has kept me going through these last few years is the simple fact that God always wins!

It takes tremendous courage to see Divinity in "small" victories. Your faith inspires me, CTW.

Thank you for inviting us on your walk.

Yes, a lot of us have high hopes for the 4 years ahead under Trump. But it is individuals and individual actions like yours, at the community level, that will bring about an awaking for this country.....with God's help, of course!
